Question : Can food poisoning levate serum lipase? Had violent vomiting, sweats, chills, was dx'd with acute pancreatitis with lipase @1600 but all symptoms resolved in about 6 hours. I just have a gut feeling it's not pancreatitis.

Food poisoning does not elevate serum lipase levels.

All your symptoms and an elevated lipase fit in to the diagnose of acute pancreatitis only. You can confirm the diagnosis with a CT scan of the abdomen.
