Question : It all started about 11 days ago on a Sunday i came down with food poisoning (vomiting, stomach pains, diarrhea, ect) I felt normal again by that Wednesday but the following Saturday i started to feel the symptoms of the flu aches, chills/mild fever, no vomiting but no appetite and diarrhea again. Now its Wednesday the following week most symptoms of the flu are gone but im feeling extremely bloated and still having diarrhea should i be worried?

Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.

I understood your concern. It may all be sequale to food poisoning which you have on sunday and there is nothing to worry

Diarrhoea will resolve in few days. Just keep your hydration and electrolyte levels adequate by taking lots of fluid and electral powder. take a course of probiotic also.

Also
1. Avoid food that increase gas like beans, pulses, cabbage, peas
2. Avid food that increase acid productions like tea, coffee, citrus and spicy and fatty food
3. See if milk make your symptoms worse then please avoid it
4. Take capsule containing simethicone
5. Also take a proton pump inhibitor like rabeprazole
This will improve all your symptoms of bloating
