Question : My son came home last week with a small scrape on his knee. It was weird because over the next few days the scrape never really looked like it scabbed. The scraped area did appear to get bigger though and a few days later had what looked like a blister over it. It has been over a week and it is not healing and over night it looks like a wart has shown up next to the scrape. Is this normal?
Brief Answer:
Please attach a photo of it.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
It is really hard to tell not being able to see it. So please if you are able, attach a photo of it.
Scrape can heal for so long if there is any foreign objects (like a piece of soil or splinter) or if the wound is infected. So try to ask your son what has caused this scrape.
Clean wound should be healed in a week or so and for sure some healing progress should be seen.
This is the best I can tell not being able to see it.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
It looks fine.
Detailed Answer:
It looks fine. And is healing property. Most likely the first skin layer was damaged. It could look normal in first few days. And it looks worse right now as the dead skin part is simply removed by his body. So keep it clean and it should heal in a week or so.
