Brief Answer:
Likely to be Conjunctivitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms
Excessive watering in 6 weeks old baby could be due to
1. Blockage of Nasolacrimal duct ( duct which drains the tears from eyes into nose )
2. Conjunctivitis
I would suggest you the following
1. Instillation of Gentamicin eye drops which are available as over the counter will be helpful
2. Gentle eye massage
If the symptoms still persist then kindly consult Ophthalmologist for further assessment
DO get back to me if you need any further assistance
Take Care
