I have no complaints of footwear. I need help up from a squatting position oyherwise I lose my balance. both of my legs "buckle" up when standing and walking for an extended period of time. I sometimes deficate myself due to not realizing I have to take a bowel movement. when I have to urinate I dont feel it til I almost urinate myself. I can feel touch, cold and hot sensations. no one in my family have experienced these symptoms.

Brief Answer:
Neurological examination/Nerve conduction studies.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up with details.

Your medical history is likely indicative of some neurologic organic disorder. It can be due to any of the following pathologies at neuraxis:
1)myelopathy or spinal cord disease
2)polyradiculopathy
3)polyneuropathy-though classically it is distal predominant weakness(footwear problem),however in some cases,it may be proximal weakness too.

Since,MRI lumbo-sacral spine has possibly ruled out myelopathy(although lower thoracic spine should have been done too),next investigation to do is Nerve conduction studies to look out for nerves and radicles abnormalities.

Besides, next best step should be to visit a neurologist and get yourself physically examined,so that next investigation can be planned with a rationale.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some follow up questions,I shall be glad to answer else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
