Brief Answer: balance diet and exercise to improve metabolism Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX Greetings from healthcaremagic. The healthy weight loss is usually ½ kg in a week i.e. 2 - 3 kg per month, depending on your body type and how it responds to the diet and exercise routine. As you must be aware that for weight loss, balanced diet with all nutrients is the key. And to help the diet perform better, exercise plays an important role. Also, you must remember that weight loss is nothing but increasing the body’s metabolism i.e. increasing the body’s capacity to burn more calories while providing the calculated calories through diet along with the other nutrients. Take fewer carbohydrates like too much of refined cereals and sugar etc. Avoid starchy foods and calorie dense fruits, i.e. potato, yam, mango, custard XXXXXXX banana etc. for better results. Add protein sources like pulses, sprouts, fish, chicken, egg etc. in diet for muscle development. Include more of fresh vegetables and fruits for fiber and antioxidants which helps to prevent diseases and improves metabolism. The intake of fats should be limited to half a litter per month and choose fats like olive / sunflower / safflower oil etc. as they are healthier. Other things that you may consider to improve metabolism are: • Hydrate yourself. • Sufficient sleep • Drink green tea. • Do not fast ;rather, have small frequent meals • Muscle building exercises, • Laugh often, it improves circulation and elevates mood. And lastly try to be active in as many ways you can. This would give boost your metabolism. Please feel free to ask any further queries. Best Regards, Surumi
