Suggest Treatment For Wet Cough

Question : I have been coughing up flem for two weeks now. I have been taking muncinex. Color of my flem is now white, was a light yellow. Should I continue taking this drug or just continue to ride it out by taking lots of fluids, etc.?

Mucinex is a mucolytic which means that it helps with the break up of mucus so that it can be easily expelled.

There are different types, some with the mucolytic only,some with additional ingredients such as cough suppressants, decongestants or anti histamines

Since the cough is still wet (producing mucus), then you should consider continuing the mucolytic along with the fluids

When it becomes dry, then you can stop.

If you prefer to stop at this stage, this is also an option
