uvula scar

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you had a case of canker sores and that now you have white patch on the uvula in the back of your throat. This white patch is scarring or healing tissue and is normal. It may take more time to heal because the mouth and uvula are so moist. I recommend trying salt water gargles to help aid healing. The salt water will sooth the area and remove any food particles that may slow healing. Do not try any other mouth washes as they will kill the cells that are trying to repair the area.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions

Ok thank you. I also noticed my uvula is slightly crooked to the right. Is that a cause for concern. Not sure if its always been that way.
