Brief Answer:
Please let me know if PFT is done or not.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

In my opinion, we should definitely rule out bronchitis in your case.
So please let me know
1. Have you ever undergone PFT (Pulmonary Function Test)?
2. Do you smoke?
If PFT is normal then no need to worry for bronchitis.. But if PFT is not done then get done PFT first.
If PFT is showing obstructive defect then you will mostly improve with inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).

So please reply me answers of above asked questions so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Get done PFT.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

So your work up for heart diseases and Pulmonary embolism (PE) has been done already.
All were negative. So no need to worry about heart diseases and PE.

PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) is a must for the diagnosis of bronchitis.

It will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about the severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.

You may need inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).

So please let me know if PFT is done or not.
I will be happy to help you further.

Wish you good health. Thanks.

I guess my doctor did not think I had bronchitis so they did not do a PFT.

Brief Answer:
Get done PFT.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

In my opinion, you should definitely get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Sometimes age related bronchitis can be a cause.
If PFT is also normal then no need to worry for bronchitis.
Do you have stressful life?
I am asking this because with all normal reports the only thing left is stress and anxiety related breathing problems.

I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
