Brief Answer: Use a moderately potent topical steroid cream Detailed Answer: Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM. I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query and I have understood it. Post-Inflammatory Hypopigmentation/De-pigmentation is common complication that is encountered after skin denudation, sustained either in a road side accident OR more commonly after a skin burn Now that your wound is healed, you could begin with an application of a moderately potent topical steroid e.g Fluticasone propionate (flutivate cream), twice daily over the depigmented area for 3-4 weeks. By that time, you would notice perifollicular re-pigmentation around hair follicles, which will subsequently spread to cover the whole depeigmented area, gradually. Wish you a speedy recovery. regards
