Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection On Penis And Near Urethra

default
Posted on Wed, 18 Mar 2015
Question: I have a male yeast infection on my penis and it has gone to the tip of my urethra as well and stings at times with residual urine dripping out, etc. I saw two Urgent Care doctors who put me on Clithmozole cream and then the second gave me one Diflucan. Two days after the 1 Diflucan, it just kept getting worse, so I went to see my general practitioner who now has me a 10 days of 150mg Diflucan, once daily. I am now on day three with no marked improvement. I fear that it's becoming resestent to the Diflucan?

Brief Answer:
It can be combined infection and eczema.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking Health care magic forum.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to combined fungal and bacterial infection along with eczema. A culture of swab from the area should be done to rule out the condition also. A consultation with a dermatologist is well appreciated.

If you were my patient then i would advise ointments with combination of antifungal like miconazole, antibacterial like neomycin and corticosteroid like beclomethasone for local application along with fluconazole weekly once.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
