Question : Hi. I have a yeast infection. Was on strong antibiotics the earlier week. Itchiness and cottage cheese like discharge. Currently applying clotrimazole cream & having cital mixed with water as well as drinking lots of water n cranberry juice and eating yoghurt . But to no avail. Still discharge and itchiness since a day now. Helpppp

Dear Ms

I assume you are referring to yeast infection of genital.
I would suggest you the following

1. Apart from application of Clotrrimazole, local application of Steroid like Betamethasone will be helpful

2. Keep the area clean and dry

3. Antifungal vaginal pessary to be used.

4. Antihistaminic like Hydroxyzine will take care of itching

I would also suggest you to get back to me with clinical photograph for further assessment.
