Suggest Treatment Fr Burning Sensation And Pain In Armpits

default
Posted on Tue, 27 Jan 2015
Question: Hi, I overstretched my left arm a couple of weeks ago and got a burning/stinging pain through my armpit and halfway down my arm, it did not feel like a normal muscle or ligament strain. It does not seem to be getting better even though I am not using my arm very often but when I forget I get the same burning/stinging pain........it feels more like the skin than something inside. Kinda strange. Any advice would be appreciated.

Brief Answer:
The sensations are due to stretching of nerves.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for the burning and stinging sensation after stretching the arm.

After analyzing the query I can get that you overstretched the arm and that particular strychnine caused stretching of the cutaneous nerves supplying the skin. These cutaneous nerves carries the sensations from the skin. As these got overstretched so can cause kind of perception which you have.

It is usual to find such things post 50 years of age due to low regeneration power.

It is quite common and may take few months of the period to get in normal sensation. Even then in your kind of cases I suggest vitamin B 12 for 2 to 4 weeks of period. I prefer to give two tablet daily after meals.

I reassure you that you will be alright soon.

I hope the above information will help you. I will be glad to answer any further queries.
