Suggest Treatment To Be Taken After Bitten By A Pet Dog
Question: My dog accidentally bit my hand going after a toy. She's had her shots, so no worries there. The base of my index finger on the palm side and the top of my hand between my index finger and middle finger were punctured. I could see fleshy stuff at the base of my index finger. Thoroughly cleaned, put antibiotic ointment on and lightly bandaged. Do I need to see a doctor? I also had a tetanus shot 2 years ago. My insurance plan deductible is really high and can't afford another huge medical XXXXXXX

She was vaccinated last month, so that's good. What is Tab.orni-o?
Brief Answer:
Orni O is used to prevent wound infection and possible sepsis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam,
I understand your concern.
Orni O is an antibiotic used to prevent secondary bacterial infections in fleshy punctured wounds-like the one at the base of your index finger.
TT need not be taken again if taken previously under 5 years duration.
You do not need vaccination if your dog is healthy and is vaccinated.
Thank you.
