Question : I have a black spot because of some insect bite on my face so please suggest some medicine

I am Dr. Kakkar. i have gone through your query.

Judging from the query, I think it is most likely a case of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I normally recommend a moderately potent topical steroid cream e.g Fluticasone propionate 0.05% cream, twice daily for 2-3 weeks for Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is available on prescription.

However, I would be able to understand the condition better and therefore guide you better, if you can upload a digital photograph clearly depicting the spot.

General measures would include protection from sun, you may use a broad spectrum sunscreen.

An oral Vitamin C supplement once daily would also help lighten the spot faster.
