Suggest Treatment To Increase Vitamin D Levels In Body

Low vitamin D levels
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
If on 25-hydroxy vitamin D blood test a level less than 12 ng/mL is reported then vitamin D deficiency is present and needs to be corrected. 20 to 50 ng/mL is considered normal for healthy people. Vitamin D 3 oral ampoules can be advised which contain around 50,000 IU vitamin D. Two doses can be given two weeks apart. Calcium supplementation should also be done along with sun exposure for 15 minutes daily. After this nutritional supplementation with 600 IU can be continued for 2 months, in consult with your doctor.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
You can consult a GP in this regard. Levels can be monitored after supplementation. An internal medicine specialist or an endocrinology referral can be made if the GP deems it necessary.
Thanks.
