Suggest Treatment To Keep BP Under Control

Question: I'm on 10mg lisinopril 1/day. My BP has been fluctuating from 138/77 last night to 161/84 this AM. I took 10 mg at 8:AM . It dropped to 122/80 by 9:00 AM. Then 156/80 at 6:00 PM. I took another 10 MG and at 8:00 my BP was 151/95. Is it safe to take another 10 mg now?

Brief Answer: try lifestyle modifications. no need to take drug Detailed Answer: Hi, I went through the query and understood your concern. Usually there will be variations in BP throughout the day. BP tends to rise in morning and also in evening. Also due to routine activities. This is normal. If your systolic BP is constantly more than 140 and diastolic more than 90 then only we need to add additional drug or in emergency we use acute therapy. So now, no need to add or to take more dose of drug. Try with strict life style modifications of salt restriction and daily 30min exercise. These will help more than adding drugs.
