Re: Pollogen Voluderm Legend Treatment for acne scars

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks a lot for your further query regarding Pollogen Voluderm Legend Treatment for acne scars.

It is one of the latest of the techniques basically done for scars by the tripolar radio frequency by microneedles.

It is different form lasers in the context that lasers basically uses light energy while this technique uses radio frequency as its main source. There are microneedles which utilizes this energy and used for dermal volumizing.

The technique is claimed to be effective for dermal collagen rebuilding and therefore after certain sittings the individual experiences less visibility of the aging lines. It is basically used for the treatment of wrinkles rather than acne scars. But now a days it is used in multiple of similar indications like skin tightening and body sculpting also.

In terms of my own experience, I have not used this technique but had been acquainted by the same in various dermatological conferences. So I beg your pardon that I would not be able to comment on the effectivity of the same over your acne scars.

I hope all these information will help you.

Hello Sir,

Thanks for your explanation.

If you could help me with 2 queries-

1. When we say it adds volume so what is this volume all about , i mean volume in terms of ?

2. Any rough idea about the cost ?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Adding volume means increasing the collagen density.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for your follow up.

Adding volume here means increasing the density of collagen. When the radio frequency or lasers are used then there is formation of new collagen in the dermal layer of skin. It is exactly the same as we see sir in the balloon. As good as the air remains we see a good shine on the balloon's surface.

The same is true for the collagen density in the skin. Adding volume or volumising the skin increases the dermal collagen and hence the less visibility of the acne scars.

For the part of your second query regarding the cost : as I have not personally used thus machine so would not be able to guide you gor the price of the same .

I hope this helps.

Hello Sir,

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Is it right to say that pollogen voluderm is an alternative to dermal filler?

Thanks
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Kanodia (6 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Both are totally different forms of treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further concern.

Fillers and pollogen treatment ate two totally different types of therapy. Actually speaking we can't compare the two modes.

It is because of the fact that in fillers we get immediate effect as soon as the sitting is done. Fillers gives raised skin appearance on immediate basis.

While pollogen treatment requires multiple sittings to show it's effect. So the two modes of therapy can not be exactly compared on the basis of its techniques as well as material or equipment used and the period of result for the same.

I hope it helps.

Hello Sir,

Thanks for your reply . Will be helpful if you can answer the following

Well in that case i shall continue with retino A for time being and just wanted to ask 0.1% would be fine to use it?

Does it works for fine lines?

Does it makes skin thin ? Does it peel off skin or uplifts the scar .

How does it actually improves the scar ?

Thanks A Lot !!

Brief Answer:
Tretinoin should not be used at this time in your case.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up.

Regarding your further queries : In my opinion you should not use Tretinoin 0.1 % at this time. As it could induce more redness and flaking of skin.

It does work well in fine lines as well as the scars by inducing collagen regeneration in the dermis. It does not cause atrophy of the skin but rather causes peeling of skin which good fir skin renewal. But for the part of redness and irritation it should not be used at this time in your case.

I hope this helps.

Hello Sir,

Thanks for your answer to my query.

Sir i somehow managed to find a Dermatologist with Voluderm Pollogen Legend Equipment. I needed a piece of advice for the same.

I do understand that you have not used it and you may not know the exact outcome of it but considering the fact that the specifications/ mechanism/ Principle (tripollar radio frequency etc) that it works on , would it be affective as compared to the other procedures that i have tried so far.

Like if we say that yes if it is really working on a xyz principle then it will have the tendency to say induce collogen in a better or rapid way

This will really help me !!

Thanks

Brief Answer:
It is best to take guidance from the person performing it.

Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further concern.

In the latest era of so much of advancement in medical scineces and reaearch field we find that each new day a new equipment or a technology is coming in market. The actual use of the same could be deduced after years of experience on clinical and scientific basis. The same is true for the pollogen technique also.

As per the technique used by this sort of therapy it sounds good. The issue of redness would robbery would not be there with this technique. But above of all In my opinion it is best to please get a proper guidance from the person who is having this machine. As that person is more aware of all the pros and cons of the same. Discuss all your issues which you have dicussed with me and then decide the best.

I hope this helps.
