Question: I have colloid milium around my eyes from past around 10 yrs. I undergone some treatment as well for the same. But the doctor told me that its incurable. Only thing I can do is to remove it by laser once in a year or so. I wanted to know, is this the only way to get treated?

Brief Answer:
Milium treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Milium or Milia, are keratinous cysts and clinically present as white or pearly pin-head sized growths, which are totally asymptomatic apart from just being a cosmetic concern.

Treatment is extraction with a fine needle ( 30 gauze needle). This is the way it is usually removed. Laser is another choice of treatment.

Treatment results in complete clearance of the lesions. However they may recur in those who have a tendency to it.
