Suggest Trteatment For Right Bundle Branch Block

Question: Greetings. My 55 year old brother has just been diagnosed with right bundle branch block, but other than a possible congenital cause, there is no other evidence of why he should have it. No one else in the family is known to have it. I have also had EKGs and a stress test with no indication of this problem. He has auto-immune issues of colitis. Would the RBBB be related to anything auto-immune, and is it something that can go away on its own? Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Pulmonary problems to be excluded...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

RBBB is present in congenital pathologies. If no such pathology, should run further tests to exclude respiratory problems, which may be a complication of autoimmune disease:

- chest X-Ray
- respiratory function test

Hope this was of help!

Thank you. So you mean RBBB could be related to his colitis? Is osteoarthritis or pulmonary fibrosis autoimmune related? My wife suffers from osteoarthritis in her hands and feet, but has no indication of RBBB.

Brief Answer:
When pulmones are damaged, can cause RBBB...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

If the nature of colitis is autoimmune and it has damaged the pulmones, then, it might be associated with RBBB.

Even in cases of osteoarthritis or pulmonary fibrosis of autoimmune in nature, when there is alteration of lung function, it might be associated with RBBB.

Please bare in mind that this cannot be happen in all cases. That's why I have advised to run pulmonary tests for further evaluations.

Hope it answered to your queries!
