Extra capsular intra capsular and phako.

Mainly three type surgery are done. Extra capsular intracellular, phako emulsification, extra capsular operation is lens is taken out with capsule by forceps or cryo tip, chances of vitreous prolapse is there, in intra capsular by incising capsule nucleus is taken out, phako is by getting phako tip inside capsule by ultrasound vibration the lens matter emulsified and sucked out. in all the procedure retrobulbar injection is given. Post operative IOL is fixed. I am not sure of the exact category of the surgery advised to us but as per your description i believe it should be phako.

I would specifically want to know which brands Monofocal lenses should be good. i.e ‘AcrySof IQ ReSTOR’ by Alcon and ‘ReZoom’ and ‘Tecnis’ which are made by Abbott Medical Optics, Zeiss etc. They are available in different price range, if money is not an issue which brands Monofocal lense you would suggest and why?

Brief Answer:
Acry Sof IQ Restor is recommended

Detailed Answer:
Acry Sof IQ Restor will focus light from a distance and near source separately. So you have to prefer distant object focusing lens and use a near correction specs.
Re zoom & Tecnis 1Piece IOL is to be given in extra capsular extraction. It has got Tri-Fix 3 point fixation designed to increase and stability which is to be fixed in the base of capsule.Maximum manufacturer having multi-focal IOL.S o you have to choose the IOL as per the procedure adapted.Since you are going for Phako Acry Sof IQ Restor IOL is recommended.
