Hello

I understand you wish to change ovulation dates.

Ovulation occurs aboit 14 days before the next menstrual cycle. Hence date of ovulation depends upon date of menstrual cycle.

If you postpone your menstrual cycle with help of progesterone tablets your ovulation dates change accordingly.

You can choose to postpone your periods to suit your ovulation dates.

My last two month menstrual cycle is as follows: XXXXXXX 5
Feb 5

I would want my next Ovulation period to run between March 7- March 15.
WOuld you be able to guide me like what tablet should i use and when should i start my tablet?

SO according to your answer, if i PREpone my periods to 25th of Febrauary, will I be ovulating between March 7- March 15?

I am in San XXXXXXX CA. WOuld you be able to prescribe some medicine to prepone my periods? Just to double confirm, if i prepone my periods to 25th of Feb, will my Ovulation comes between March7-15?

Please advice.

Late to prepone

Detailed Answer:
Hello

You need to.take progesterone tablets for 5 days and wait for 5 days for periods to start. Hence you need 10 days gap.

Unfortunately there are only 6 days remaining and it is late to prepone cycle to start on 25th.

I suggest you try to look for someother dates with minimum 10 days for tablets to act.

Thanks for the detailed clarification. SInce you said we need good time gap, then i will plan on April. so that i will have plenty of time to get this work.

Assuming my next period will come around Mar5-6, if i can postpone my period for 12 days then i think i can get my ovulation around APr1-8.

Is there anything that i can get the tablet through counter? or i should meet only doctor for prescription?

please advice.

Hello

You can take oral contraceptive pills starting from 3rd day of your cycle. Stop these pills 5 days before expected date of menstrual cycle. You will have bleeding in 5 days after stopping pills.
