Question : Hello! I am 51 years old and have newly diagnosed HTN. Oddly my BP ranges from the mid 120's to the high 180's Systolic and 60-low 100's Diastolic. I sweat at night in the sternal area. When the pressure rises I get a headache. With exertion, I get syncopal. I work as an RNFA and passed out scrubbed. I am out of work to sort this out and get things under control. We have a strong FHX of strokes at my age even in thin people.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your symptoms especially chest discomfort, headache and exercise induced syncope may be related to:
- Cardiac issues ( aortic stenosis, ischemic disease etc.)
- Neurologic problems

If you were my patient I would recommend to do the following examinations to find out what is causing your symptoms:
- Blood work
- Ecg
- Cardiac echo
- Holter monitoring
- Stress test
- Head ct scan

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
