Brief Answer:
The parental heights affect the growth potential.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query. For an individual with 42 kg weight and 142 cm height, the BMI comes to 20.8 which is perfectly fine. Your child is doing well and her weight corresponds to her height. Speaking about her height, her maximum potential is actually dependent on the height of the parents. An expected height would be the the sum of the height of both parents (in cm) minus 6 cm and divided by 2. To achieve her growth potential she needs to indulge in whole body exercises like swimming, skipping etc. Please note that she is already near completion of her growing phase. So not much can be expected.

She has to eat well and play / exercise regularly.
