                                    Brief Answer:
No such time limit
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at healthcaremagic.
I have read your query. The amount of weight loss and the time duration needed, depends on many factors like weight at start of treatment, methods used for weight loss, consistency in efforts, diet and exercise, type of work, stresses in life, and many more.
Usually I have seen people lose more weight initially and then lesser weight. The duration is definitely in months maybe around 8-10 months.

Diet and exercise are the mainstay
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Diet and exercise are the mainstay of weight reduction. Sometimes medicines can help as well. In diet, you need to avoid fatty foods like cheese, butter, ghee, sweets, chocolates etc. You can get a detailed diet chart from dietitian at healthcaremagic.
In exercise, a combination of aerobic exercises, stretches, yoga, walk is to be done for atleast 30 min a day.
Please let me know your weight, height and any other medical conditions that you may be having so that I am better able to help you.

                                    Brief Answer:
Try diet and exercise
Detailed Answer:
Your BMI is 28.7.
It will be good to lose the 15 kgs but we cannot expect it happen overnight. It will take a lot of patience and effort on your part. Firstly keep a weighing machine at home and record your daily weight. This way you will know whatever you have been doing wrong with diet. Secondly get a detailed diet chart from the dietitian and stock to it. I am sending a sample diet chart:
Early Morning:
Green tea or lime water (sugar less) – 1 glass
Breakfast: Non fried preparations like:
Whole wheat bread without butter – 2 slices
Vegetable poha/ Dalia/ Sevian/ upma - 1 cup
Idli 2pc. With Sāmbhar – 1 cup
Cornflakes with skimmed milk (less sugar) – 1 cup
Stuffed chapatti (2 no.) with dry vegetable – 1 katori
Mid-Morning:
Fruits (avoid the carbohydrate rich fruits like XXXXXXX sapota, grapes, banana, custard apple and watermelon also avoid fruit juices and fruit milk shakes)
Lunch:
2 chapatti + sabji 1 katori + boiled brown rice ½ katori + dal – 1 katori + salad 1 katori + 1 glass thin butter milk or 1 katori skimmed curd.
Evening Snacks:
Tea / Coffee (less or no sugar) + high fiber biscuits OR Sprouts / roasted channa 1 katori
Dinner:
2 chapatti + vegetable 1 katori + skimmed buttermilk 1 glass + salad 1 katori.
Start your meals with salads and buttermilk, and stop eating when you are just full.
Avoid snacking in between. Choose from a variety of vegetables and fruits; avoid potato and sweet potato. Consume 2.5 to 3 liter water and other fluids like lemon juice, fresh soup and tender coconut water.
You are also advised to include regular physical exercises in your daily routine. A brisk walk every day for 30-45 min. is recommended for quick weight loss. You may also try other activities like, skipping, swimming, playing badminton, gym, walk, yoga etc.
You cab try the above for one month and recheck if you are losing appropriate weight. If you do not lose enough weight by 3 months then weight loss medicine orlistat can be added. This medicine lowers the absorption of fat (in food) into body. But this is to be tried only after atleast 3 months of lifestyle changes.
