Question : Hi

My dad is diagnosed with TB and he is taking forecox from last 10 days.

He wasn't coughing for last 9 days but from yesterday he strated coughing again? What could be the reason?
Note :He didn't skipped any medication

Hello XXXX,

The coughing could be part of th itself and he should continue his forcox. We have to give atleast 3 to 4 weeks time to see the result of tb treatment.

I'm sure he will start showing improvement soon.

TB treatment is difficult and patient's cooperation is equally important. Do not miss out a single dose. I hope he has no allergies and is a nonsmoker.

He has skin allergies and he was somker.

It could be allergic cough.

Generally if a person has one allergy (skin allergy in case of your father) he may develop other allergies like allergic cough, asthma XXXXXXX

The cough in case of your father could be allergic cough also. Please discuss this with his treating physician or you may give him a tablet of Montair LC. It's a safe medicine and can be given along with Forcox.

Smoking should be avoided.
