Question : Hi Dr XXXXXXX my marriage is on 22nd june'16,but my last moth period date was 18th may n las to last moth period was on 14th april,every month it delayed for 4 days, but in this mo i want my period should come before 2 to 3 days of 18th XXXXXXX i'e by 14th XXXXXXX is there any medicine to prepone the period if yes then suggest me n guide me how to take this medicine and when to start.

Hello dear,

I have gone through your history and fully understand your concerns.

There is medicine which can be used to prepone and postponed your menses like progesterone.

But in my opinion postponement of the menses are better option.

Because when we are giving medicine to prepone the menses and period does not occur it becomes very unpredictable.

But you can postponed your menses till 14 days.

You can take primolut-N for the same.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

You can take primolut-n 2 days before your expected period date and continue till the date you want to postponed your menses,maximum 14 days( you have to consult a Gynecologist because this is a prescription drug).

The dosage usually we gave to our patients are 5 mg twice daily.
