Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.

Diverticulitis is inflammation which is seen in people with diverticulosis and frequency of attacks cant be foreseen or prevented in most cases since diverticulitis occurs with no exact cause. It is just considered that hard stool, and inadequate diet may increase risk of recurrent diverticulitis.

Considering this, there is no specific medication for it . It can just be treated with antibiotics when inflammation occurs. You can take high fibre food, probiotics, milk producta, vegetables, boiled meat and avoid chocolates and fried food. In case of more than 3 attacks in life, surgery should be considered because then it is likely that it will recur and may lead to serious consequances.

Wish you good health.
