Question : We had a unprotected sex on 27nov so what do we do now to prevent pregnancy. Its been a 4 days now and i didnt take any kind of precaution.
I am staying in dubai and here i am not getting pill.Here, I asked but they gave me a medicine called XXXXXXX which they told me to take when i'll have my periods . And my period cycle date is 10th of every month.
But the question is that how could i wait till 10 and what if i miss my period that time.

If you have regular 28-30 day cycles, you had intercourse during the fertile period (I presume it was on the 27th of October), and as such your chances of conceiving are high.

There is no hormone medication to avert this happening now because it is too late. XXXXXXX is an oral contraceptive which can be used as a regular form of contraception once you receive your next cycle.

Though certain pills are claimed to have emergency contraceptive effect, this is soon after the intercourse and the effects have not been studied properly.

In the current scenario, you can only wait for your next period and see if you miss it and then plan further management.

till what date i should wait for my periods. ? normally i get my periods between 10 to 14 day of the month..

whats HPT?? let me tell u that we dint intercourse he just did 5 to 10 stroke and than we stopped cause we dint want to do without protection so we stopped..

but my bf told me that may be cause of wet lubrication there should be chance of pregnancy..

he had told me to take i pill but i forgot to take and i came back to dubai.
now its 4th day after we had sex.should i take i pill now as my bf sent me from XXXXXXX .
im very tensed doctor please help.i know we shouldn't have done it.i dont wana get pregnant.

Pre-ejaculate contains enough sperm to cause conception during the fertile period. This can happen in the manner you have described.

Emergency pill is useful only if taken within 72 hours of the intercourse.

than what should i do now..? ? when should i do HPT?? is there any kit i have to buy from chemist?? if result shows i am pregnant than what should i do to abort it??im in dubai here abortion and contraceptive are not allowed..Please guide me what to do..till what date i can wait fot HPT?? my period cycle is on 10th.

HPT should be done with a fresh early morning sample of urine, 3-7 days after the missed period. Since you expect your cycle date to fall between 10-14, please wait until 17th.

You need to buy a test kit meant for home pregnancy test. Several brands are available in the market.

If you have a confirmed pregnancy and if you do not wish to retain it, medical abortion can be performed under supervision of a specialist. This is the only way out. Please think of relocating yourself or temporary shifting to some place where abortion is legal.

After consumption of an emergency pill, withdrawal bleeding can occur after a couple of days as the pill contains excess hormone that alters the hormone balance of the body. You can also experience symptoms similar to those of the pre-menstrual period and your pain could be one of them.

Yet, as you complain of incapacitating pain, I would ask you to see a health care provider for further help. Sometimes, excess hormones can precipitate a cyst of the ovary which at times, may rupture.

Only a clinical evaluation can rule out these possibilities and help in further management. Meanwhile, you can have an anti-spasmodic to relieve the pain.
