Question : hi doc,
i have had unprotected sex with my gf on 24/08/2015 , can u please advise any pills to avoid the chances of pregnancy , i would be very thankful to you!! also please advise any side effect of the pills

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I can understand your concerns.

I hope u mean 24/07/15 and not the date you have written.

Unfortunately most emergency pills that prevent pregnancy needs to be taken within 3 days of unprotected intercourse.

However i will still advise you to give her an emergency contraceptive pill from the local pharmacy, as some effect might still be there.

However there is no guarantee that it will prevent pregnancy this late.

The pill has mostly negligible side effects.
