Question : I had an xray showing a small enthesophyte on the right knee. No significant joint space narrowing. I'm finding it hard to walk for a mile or two. I'm 75 years old, not overweight and used to walking about 5 miles a day. What type of dr. should I see? What is the treatment?

Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
The doctor whom you ought to see a specialist in Physical Medicine ( Physiatrist). If you are not able to see a physiatrist, an orthopedic doctor would be the next choice.
The treatment consists rest, physiotherapy , anti-inflammatory analgesics and if these do not give sufficient relief local steroid injection may give relief.
