I saw the photo. You are right. It is likely to be a wheal lesion, mostly caused by an insect. It may be called insect bite reaction. It is very common condition and may be cured without treatment. You may be having burning or itching sensation. You may take a short course of steroid (prescription drug) and antihistaminics. Apply Calamine lotion on the lesion.
