Brief Answer:
No lab tests to detect carpet beetle dermatitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I am Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, a dermatologist.
Unfortunately there are no lab tests that can detect carpet beetle dermatitis.
It is a clinical diagnosis.
You can get your absolute eosinophil count and complete blood count checked as there will be raised eosinophils in insect bite reactions but no test can direst detect whether it is carpet beetle dermatitis..
Also one cannot become immune to the hair of carpet beetle larvae over time.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
