Suggest Ways To Rule Out Genital Warts

Question: My boyfriend, who I’ve been with for 8/9 months, went to the doctor today and was told that he might have genital warts.
He has stated to me that he has been faithful.
We have only had sex a couple times (always using a condom). And I recently had a Pap smear - which was clear.
His last sexual partner was over 2 years ago.
Could his genital warts be transmitted from anything other than sexual contact? If not, could the genital warts incubate for that long?

Brief Answer:
It is sexually transmitted!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is unlikely that he could have contracted this otherwise. This is certainly from one of his sexual encounters. It is unlikely that it incubated that long but just got more evident at this time. It grows over time and so it tales sometime for it to be noticed as it is not always an acute manifestation.
I hope this guides. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Are genital warts something that can come and go? Or is it something that slowly appears after incubation?
Brief Answer:
They grow slowly over time to reach noticeable sizes!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The grow slowly over time. It is not about have flares and remissions. It might be the first time it has grown to noticeable proportions but definitely something that would stay unless treated with medications or surgically excised.
I hope this clarifies. Let me know your take and if there are any further worries.
