Brief Answer:
May lead to serious complications

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,

The main indication of clopidogrel is coronary stenting, it is prescribed for 6-12 months if a patient underwent coronary stenting and the duration depends on the type of stent. So if you have a stent recently and you stop clopidogrel, then you will be at risk to develop stent occlusion, which may have bad consequences until myocardial infarction.
The other indication is elevated cardiovascular risk in some patients or when a patient can't take aspirin due to contraindications. In this case you should talk with your doctor to know what was real reason to prescribe clopidogrel, and your doctor should evaluate once more your indications and contraindications before switching to aspirin. In this case stopping without further evaluation may lead to a serious consequences as well, such as myocardial infarction , stroke or some adverse effects depending on why clopidogrel was prescribed.

Take care
