Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your situation, and would like to explain that even if you have actually a sinus rhythm, this does not exclude the presence of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.

Do you have any other comorbidities (high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, history of stroke or TIA)? I would like to know more about your medical history.

I would also recommend performing some tests :

- an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG Holter monitoring to examine your heart rhythm trends during a prolonged time and exclude possible cardiac arrhythmia
- a cardiac ultrasound to exclude cardiomyopathy.

If you have a sinus rhythm in Holter monitoring and no other triggering factors (like cardiomyopathy), you can safely switch to aspirin.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
