Question : My daughter is addicted to gagapentin [large doses]. What is the best way to get off of it?

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
gabapentin is usually not having abuse effects but cases have been reported of abuse and addiction with feeling of euphoria. The drug on stopping causes withdrawal symptoms also.
The best way is to get it reduced gradually and substitute other pain killer or opioids . Counselling and consultation within an addiction clinic will be helpful.
