Brief Answer:
Should reduce to 6.25,then,stop it definitely..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

1. Metroprolol is a betablocker drug, used to treat increased heart rates (palpitations) or other heart rhythm disorders. It might have helped reducing your anxiety levels too.

2. If you are currently taking 12.5 mg, then, after 1 week, start reducing the dose to 6.25 for another week. Then, can safely stop taking it.

3. It is important to:
- avoid caffeinated drinks
- run changes in your diet and lifestyle regimen
- try to control stress
- use chamomile/aloe vera/valeriana tea/supplements

Hope it helped!
