Swallowed Blood Does This Risk HIV
Your HIV risk is negligible only.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
First of all, the lady, mother of two, not necessarily a HIV positive individual. So you need not afraid.
Secondly, if we consider she is HIV positive and if she is on treatment, then her viral load would likely be undetectable, then also her blood will not be infectious.
Thirdly, blood swallowed would become harmless after mixing with saliva and gastric juice and hydrochloric acid present in your stomach. HIV transmission never occurs through food or drinks.
Unless there is an open wound or abrasion in your mouth, you would not get HIV infection.
So not to worry. Anyhow, 12 weeks after the incident, you have HIV test and rule out HIV and your tension will be relieved.
