Swollen Upper Lip And Pustules On The Roof Of Mouth, Painful, Slight Fever. Suggest Medication
Question: Swollen upper lip and pustules on the roof of mouth. Painful and slight fever.

The pustules on the roof of mouth may be due to aphthous ulcers with secondary bacterial infection leading to swelling of upper lip with inflammation.
Infections and inflammation of upper lip should be treated promptly with antibiotics as untreated infections of this area will lead to the spread of infection to the brain because of vascular connection between the two areas.
For fever, you can take Tylenol in prescribed dosage every 8 th hourly depending on the presence of fever.
For pain relief, you can apply oral gel containing local anesthetic like benzocaine (OTC) especially 5 to 10 minutes before taking food.
Multivitamin supplementation will fasten the healing of the lesions.
Take plenty of oral fluids and eat a soft, bland diet.
Betadine gargles twice or thrice daily will be helpful.
And physical examination by the doctor is neccessary to see the extent of pustules and the swollen upper lip and for the prescription of antibiotic if it is required and for the other supportive treatment.
