Question: Thank you for your thorough response. My gastritis is feeling much better after 10 days with 2 40 mg nexium daily
1) Rainitide is zantac and it is back. Is it basically same as pepcid. So taking pepcid is equally good as Zantac ? ( After scaling down step wise from Nexium).
2)Zinc Carsine is a prescription drug approved in Japan and south korea for ulcers for 20 years. There are some studies showing its efficacy because it increases mucus on the stomach lining. What I am thinking is once my gastritis is completely healed, I can take this every day or every other day. Then once a week when I have 2 drinks, I can have 40 mg Nexium or 40 mg pepcid just before the drinks. See if it prevents a recurrence. What do you think.

Answers are-
1)Yes they are same you can take any one of them when trying to step down.
2)Sir for healing gastric mucosa why don't you choose a well proven salt named sucralfate 1 gram twice daily.
It's a proven drug and is used frequently over patient and with in 3 months of use it heals gastric mucosa.
Yes you can take zinc salt also with it but practically the result of sucralfate are awesome.
I too had peptic ulcers which got cured in 3 months.
Before drink take 40 mg Nexium and 1 gram sucralfate to cover gastric mucosa.
