Question : The skin surface of my left hand thumb was burnt, due to a touch with hot pressure cooker, around 7-8 days before. There is slight wound in left thumb, due to removal of part nail, around 7-8 days before. I have pain in nail portion and also burned portion. I am 73+; Please prescribe lotion/medicines; I have sulpha group allergy.

Hi
I saw the pictures
Ulcer is healing in the middle of the thumb.
There is redness and small wound near nail in the second picture.It is due to infection and inflammation.
Apart from Antibiotic AMOXICILLIN , Anti-inflammatory tablet should be used.
Ointment containing Povidone iodine should be used.
Please do not cut the nail.
Please consult a General Surgeon and take appropriate prescription
Nothing to worry.It will heal.
