Question : This evening I began to have intermittent, dull pains in the area of my right kidney. I have no other symptoms at the moment. I have not been physically active during this "lockdown period" in XXXXXXX Beach, Florida. I do not suspect any muscle pain in that area. I am able to urinate without pain; hence, I do not suspect a kidney stone. I have not had any kidney problems in the past. The last CT Scan that I had indicated a number of bilateral kidney cysts, but no other abnormality. The pains, when they occur, last for 5-20 seconds, cease, and then return several minutes later. Then, the pains are quiescent for 10-20 minutes, only to return again as dull, rather than sharp, pains. What are the possible causes, and treatments?

                                    Brief Answer:
Ultrasound Abdomen should be done
Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description,it could be Kidney problem or Musculoskeletal pain.
Renal cysts are mostly found incidentally. They do not cause much problem. As your pain is in kidney area, Ultrasound abdomen should be done to rule out any pathology.
If Ultrasound Abdomen is normal, then it could be Musculoskeletal pain. There is.no.need to be physically active for that pain.In that case, you need a Skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside.
Nothing to worry.
It will come down.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health and speedy recovery
Regards
