Question : Thursday night I hit the back of my head against one of my dressers. I got no nausea/vomiting, I didn't black out, etc. The only thing I have is a headache at the back of head where I hit & other parts are hurting. It feels like a tight band around my head & heavy. I went to the urgent care on Saturday and was prescribed 800mg ibuprofen. In addition she did a neuro exam. Will these headaches eventually subside? Would my symptoms worsen if anything serious?

                                    Brief Answer:
There is good chance for recovery
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up and providing important details.
After going through all details I am of the opinion that there is no internal injury to brain in relation to this particular event as evidenced by absence of blackout, nausea and vomiting, neurological deficit and loss of consciousness.
Considering this fact there is good chance to recovery as the injury is superficial and limited to connective tissues (bone, muscles, skin among others).
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
