Question: "To be answered by Dr. Erion Spaho" Hello again, doctor. Since it will be at least another 2 weeks before I can get imaging or see my neurologist coupled with the symptoms I'm having are very much in line with glossopharyngheal, (burning in back of throat, ear, neck, jaw) would the same meds and same injections be applicable as u recommended for the AO?

Brief Answer:
If AO confirmed then injections should help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thanks for asking me directly.

The botulinum toxin injections are found to be effective for the AO.

If your other symptoms are caused by the AO, there should be improvement after the injection.

Anyway, the symptoms you describe have an important neurological factor, so, antineuralgic drugs such as pregabalin, etc. should be helpful symptomatically.

Hope this helps.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.
