Question : Tonight I found a 2.5 inch oblong shaped, firm, non tender mass in the area between my armpit and left breast. I only know of 1 family member with breast cancer and he was my dads uncle. I'm 42, took fertility drugs, have 5 kids. Is this concerning?

Thanks for your query.
I understand your concerns.

Any new painless lump in the breast is of concern. Size is also quite significant, 2.5 inch. Family history is not that significant in you.

Hence I would recommend an examination by a doctor and if suspicious, go for Ultrasound of breast and mammogram.

It may be benign but better to get it examined in time.
