Question : Trying to get off of psychiatric medications, please advise. I am on 100 mg lamotrigine, 5 mg abilify and 10 mg trintillex

bipolar disorder type 2 and hypersomnia. can i split these pills and on what timeline should i decrease ?

Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

You may need to stop the medications gradually in order to have less side effects.

You may need to take :
75mg lamotrigine, 2.5mg of abilify, and 7.5mg of trintillex for first 4 weeks.

50mg lamotrigine, 1, 5 mg of abilify and 5 mg of trintillex for next 4 weeks

25 mg of lamotrigine, 0.5 of abilify and 2.5 of trintillex for next 4 weeks
After this 4 weeks don't take any medications.

Tapering the dosage this gradually can make you to have less symptoms and side effects.
