Hi there.

does she also have cough, breathlessness during those activities? Did she suffer any blunt trauma in recent past? Does she have any allergies?
This type of tightness seems to be due to restriction of her chest tissue movements- either lung tissues or chest muscles.
Please show her to a chest physician or general physician for this. This has nothing to do with her type 1 diabetes directly. Very high sugars likely to increase lung infection chances and hence the tightness. The wisdom tooth, unless has infected gum around, is a very benign process. It might cause a bit of pain around it with some discomfort lasting for a week or so but it is unlikely to cause these chest symptoms.
In short, if her chest symtpoms are also accompanied with some kind of breathlessness or cough, and if the symptoms are persistent all over the day then there is need to show her to a general or chest physician.
I hope you got your answer. Take care.
