Hi,
thanks for writing in.
This report is not fully normal. It has to be correlated with clinical symptoms. If symptomatic then urine culture will help to decide the choice of antibiotics.
I hope this answers your query.

Hi,

Thanks for providing the response.

Request you to please generalise the response as I am unable to understand the technicalities behind the statement mentioned. Also What exactly needs to be done for urine culture.... I have been facing the problem of being urged to go for pee on the repeated basis since more than 10 years now and even the bladder gets empty, there is a urge to go again....Also everytime I finish 2 or 3 drops remain there and I have to change my under garment sometimes more than twice a day.... Please confirm is it severe?

I had got it treated from Lions Kidney Hospital for sumtime and post all the tests and all I ahve been told that everything is normal and there becomes the end of the story but the problem still stays and it is very very irritating and uncomfortable. I am single currently Just for your info.
Also If you can suggest some good doctor for curing of this problem....I will be highly greatful!

Please suggest aacordingly.

Hi,
Symptoms of urinary tract infection are
1. Burning sensation while passing urine
2. Frequency
3. Haziness of the urine
4. fever
5 back ache.

With respect to urine examination the urine sample should be clear and free of turbidity. In females pus cells up to XXXXXXX of 10 are acceptable as normal. Epithelial cells do not matter for infection. They are seen in abundance in serious problems of the kidney such as glomerulonephritis and in advanced pyelonephritis.
Urine culture is done when both symptoms are present and the urine examination shows abnormalities. A midstream sample is usually collected and sent for studies. Beyond a certain colony count the patient requires specific antibiotic therapy.
The problem which you have described may be due to chronic infection or perhaps a functional bladder issue.
In this case you first need to completely rule out or get treated for infection. this has to be confirmed by culture testing.
having done that there is high possibility that symptoms which you have described may disappear. But if they still persist then there is a high likelihood of functional bladder problems which is frequently seen in women. For that you may need to undergo urodynamic testing to evaluate that all the muscular and nerve function or connexions of the bladder are normal.
If any abnormality is detected at this stage then specific drug treatment can be commenced. If nothing abnormal is detected then functional therapy or pelvic floor exercises are to be practised rigorously to gain full control and ensure complete voluntary emptying of the bladder.
taking into consideration your age and assuming that you did not have any urinary problems since birth I feel you should be cured of the problem.
Regarding suggestion of a doctor as I do not know your geographical location I will not be able to do so. However I can suggest that you should take two opinions one of a gynaecologist who specialises in urinary continent issues and second would be of a urologist.
If you have any more doubts please write to me. I can understand the stress on you caused by this problem.
I hope this answers your query.
regards

Thanks a ton for the valuable response.

One thing wanted to confirm about my problem apart from urine infection which is related to going for pee on the repeated basis....Is there any permanent solution to get rid off this issue post bacterial infection gets fully cured as I have heard from alot of people that this problem stays forever.

Also can i go for a ayurvedic treatment for this?

Please suggest

Hi,
thanks for writing in.
Yes! Once the bacterial infection is totally eradicated the frequency of urination issue will decrease significantly to the verge of extinction. In addition pelvic floor exercises will help you to reduce the symptoms if at all it persists.
I would not suggest any ayurvedic treatment as it is not substantiated to be beneficial by scientific research.
