Brief Answer:
Breathing difficulty, throat pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Anti-rust products and chlorine can cause adverse effects by ingestion or inhalation.
They can cause symptoms like breathing difficulty, throat pain and swelling, pain and burning in eyes, ears, nose, abdominal pain, vomiting, dropping of blood pressure etc.
Usually these symptoms will occur immediately after exposure.
As it is already 2 to 3 days over after exposure, the symptoms may or may not be due to the chemicals.
Anyhow better to consult physician once and get examined.
Hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer followup queries. If you are satisfied with the answer, please give your review at the end of the discussion.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
pH, methemoglobin levels

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
1 . As there are no symptoms no need to worry.
The mucous secretions can be due to general causes like throat irritation etc.
2. Yes, few blood tests by detecting the pH of the blood and by detecting methemoglobin levels in the blood etc can detect the possibility of poisoning.
3. In case of severe poisoning circulatory system collapse can affect the heart and brain.
4 . If you are not having any specific symptoms, you can wait till you return to your hometown.
Take care.
